How to use

#Basic order of use

Start with the extension installed on a supported browser. If you still need setup, see Install first.

1. Use a browser that already has 321 Downloader installed.
2. Keep a webpage with video or audio open.
3. Wait a moment while the extension checks for media.
4. Open the 321 panel.
5. Choose the item to save or process.
6. When it finishes, check the result in the browser download location.

#Media detection

When you open a page, 321 Downloader checks for media you can save. This can take a short time depending on the site and page state.

Not every website or every media file is guaranteed. If nothing appears right away, start playback and check again.

#Save video

If playable video is present, you can save it as video. Choosing results and finding finished files is covered in Download.

#Save audio

If the page has audio, you can save it as audio. Sites split video and audio in different ways. Output follows the media obtained from the page.

#Use Fast-Track

Use Fast-Track to collect and process media from the current tab on a short path. Counts and cooldown follow the current plan. What you see and when to use it are in Fast-Track.

#Use Scouter

Use Scouter when you need to find and pick candidates on the page, not only the items that appear automatically. It is not on every page. See Scouter for detail.

#Create a script

When the plan allows it, you can create a script from speech. This is not the same path as captions already on the page. On the public plan view this is available on Pro and Ultra. See Script / STT for detail.

#Check results and basic troubleshooting

Finished files appear in the browser download location. When the in-progress state ends, open the file there.

If nothing appears or saving does not start, play the media and check again. Also check that the browser did not block downloads and that the current plan allows the action. See Usage questions.
