Scouter
A tool for finding and picking media candidates on the open page.
#What Scouter is
Scouter is the collection screen for finding and picking video, audio, or script candidates on the current page. It does not rebuild the whole page. You select only what you need.
#When do you need it?
Use it when the automatic list is not enough to pick the media you want. If the item is already clear, Download is often enough.
#Start Scouter
Open a page with media, then open Scouter in 321 Downloader. Depending on the page, the menu may not be there.
#Find the media you want
Review the confirmed candidates and pick what you want to save. The list is based on media actually obtained from the page. It does not invent missing files.
#What happens after you select
The selected item continues into a save or processing action. When you are done selecting, continue saving or close the 321 screen.
#How it differs from automatic detection
Automatic detection checks items that appear when you open the page. Scouter is the step where you look for more candidates on that page and pick them yourself. It does not guarantee a longer list.
#Pages that are not supported
Scouter is not on every site or every page. If the page has no playable web media, or it does not show candidates, the list can be empty.
#If something goes wrong
If Scouter is missing or the list is empty, start playback and open it again. You can continue saving with Download. See Usage questions.
